Well… we think!
Are you looking for the best wedding venue Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire? Wedding venues in the Scottish highlands? We are 17 miles west of Aberdeen in the Scottish Highlands. The exclusive use wedding venue was built for the Elphinstone Family in 1680 and was the centrepiece of a huge Aberdeenshire country estate.
Most of the house burned down in 1974, leaving only the seven bedroom guest wing habitable. We bought the house in 2006 and completely restored it over the next 5 years. The house was our family home for years too but is now used as an exclusive use wedding venue for two or three day wedding celebrations.
We are often asked about what Logie is like in the Winter, being an old Scottish mansion so here is a lovely article in the Scottish Wedding directory of Cat and Phil’s Autumn wedding.
The photo above was taken by the fantastic Anna, under our rose arch in the courtyard. A favorite place for photos! The roses often last into December and start flowering again the the spring. The courtyard is full of birds, even in the winter months (You can see why if you look to the left of this photo).
We have five log fires, underfloor heating downstairs in most of the house and double glazed windows too. Also, the four central heating boilers and the underfloor heating makes Logie Country House a beautifully warm house, all year round. So if it’s a Wedding Venue in the Scottish Highlands, look no further. Logie Country House. Exclusive use wedding venue Aberdeenshire
