Wedding Terms & Conditions

These terms form the basis of the contract between the person making the booking at Logie Country House and Hudsons Catering. By making a booking at Logie Country House, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Approximate guest numbers are required to give an accurate catering quote at time of booking. Subsequent changes to guest numbers, menu requirements, etc, prior to the event will be covered by a revised quote which will be the basis of the invoice.

Final guest numbers must be advised two weeks prior to the date of the event. This number or the actual number served (if greater), is the total that will be charged.

It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to advise us of any special dietary requirements, medical conditions or allergies of any guests. We cannot be held responsible for any consequences where we have not received prior notification at least two weeks in advance (for example we will need to know well in advance if there is anyone that is allergic to nuts).

• A £500 booking fee will be taken to secure the booking.
• The first invoice becomes payable 14 days before the event.
• The final invoice is payable 14 days after the event.
• In the event of cancellation later than 28 days from the event, we will refund any monies paid minus any costs incurred (tastings, hired equipment, agency staffing arrangements, etc).
• In the event of a cancellation 28 days or less form the event, we will charge £1,000 plus costs incurred (up to the full cost as quoted).
• In the event of a postponement of the wedding we ask for 50% payment of the total on the original date and the balance as per the terms above.
• Rates quoted are inclusive of applicable sales tax (vat).
• We reserve the right to cancel a booking if payment is not received as per these terms.
• We reserve the right to charge for any increase in costs outwith our control.
• Guest will be bound by the licencing laws. No alcohol may be consumed on the premises covered by the alcohol licence, other than that purchased or covered by a corkage charge.
• We reserve the right to refuse to serve guests alcohol, or to instruct them to leave the premises. Any guest asked to leave the premises will not be permitted to stay on the estate (including in Logie Country House itself).
• We reserve the right to close the bar in the event of unruly behaviour.
• We reserve the right to cancel the event due to circumstances outwith our control.
• Any loss or damage caused by the client or their guests will be chargeable to the client.
• Fresh produce is sometimes subject to market availability. The utmost effort will be made to ensure that what is ordered is supplied, but we reserve the right to make variations or supply alternatives if necessary.
• We will take all reasonable steps to fulfil our obligations to the best of our ability but reserve the right to provide alternative services.
• We shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to provide the service as a result of any act or circumstance outside our control.
• We shall not be responsible for anything given to us by guests. (Wine to store or chill, cakes, etc).
• No food can be brought into the venue for the event by the client or an alternative caterer, unless by prior agreement.
• We will accept no liability for any food supplied by another caterer or anything that is not supplied by hudsons Catering.
• We will make every effort to keep to the quoted prices, but we reserve the right to increase our prices in line with both inflation and produce prices rises (where produce price rises are greater than the rate of inflation).
• Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of these terms we cannot accept the responsibility for any errors or omissions and reserve the right to vary, amend or cancel any of the arrangements.
• Use of any of the catering facilities at Logie by caterers other than Hudsons may require Hudsons staff time, which will be billed to the client. Hudsons reserve the right to refuse to allow any of their own equipment (Kitchen equipment, glasses, tables, etc) to be used.
