Logie Country House was built in 1680, on estate lands recorded as far back as 1492. Set beside the River Urie in beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside, the house has 18 bedrooms sleeping around 50 guests, an indoor heated swimming pool, two outdoor hot tubs, a cinema room and a private ballroom for up to 160 day guests.
Throughout your stay, the house and grounds are exclusively yours. Your family and friends can settle in, make themselves at home and enjoy the wedding as a proper shared experience rather than something squeezed into a few hours.
On the wedding day, your private purpose-built ballroom gives everyone one place to eat, drink and dance, with the bar and dance floor together in the same room.

🕰️ What Three Days Gives You
A 3-day wedding changes the pace of the whole celebration.
You don’t have to meet everyone on the wedding day. Many of the guests staying in the house are already there, settled in and relaxed before the ceremony begins.
You don’t have to say goodbye the following morning. Day 3 is yours to spend together, whether that means a lazy breakfast, a BBQ, the pool and hot tubs, games outside or doing very little at all.
Your accommodation becomes part of the wedding. Around 50 guests can stay together in the house rather than disappearing to different hotels each night.
You have time for the people you invited. That is probably the biggest difference. Three days gives you a chance to actually talk to people instead of spending the whole wedding wondering where the day went.
🎉 What Does a 3-Day Wedding at Logie Look Like?
Every wedding is different, but a typical 3-day Logie wedding might look something like this:
Day 1 – Arrive & Settle In
✅ Check in from 1.00 pm and get everyone settled into the house.
✅ Catch up with family and friends who may not have seen each other for ages.
✅ Spend the afternoon exploring the house and grounds.
✅ Relax in the hot tubs or use the indoor swimming pool.
✅ Enjoy your first evening together at Logie.
Day 2 – Your Wedding Day 💍
💍 Get ready at Logie with your favourite people around you.
💒 Hold your ceremony in the courtyard, ballroom, woodland or elsewhere around the grounds.
🥂 Enjoy drinks and photographs around the estate.
🍽️ Wedding-day catering is provided by our long-standing catering partner, Hudsons Catering.
🍷 Use the Hudsons bar or bring your own wedding-day drinks and pay corkage.
🎶 Eat, drink and dance in your private soundproofed ballroom.
Day 3 – The Relaxed Bit 😎
🔥 Have a BBQ, brunch or another relaxed meal together.
🥂 Spend the day with your guests at your own pace.
🏊 Enjoy the pool and hot tubs.
🌳 Explore the grounds, arrange games or activities, or simply recover from the night before.
😴 Do as much — or as little — as you like.
Day 4 – Home Time
Have breakfast, gather the abandoned shoes and phone chargers, enjoy one last wander around Logie and check out by 11.00 am.
🌙 Want Even More Time? Add the Evening Before
If three days still isn’t quite enough, you can add an extra night before your normal wedding stay.
You have full access to the entire house from 9.00 pm the evening before, giving everyone more time to arrive, settle in and catch up before the main wedding stay begins.
It can be particularly useful when guests are travelling from different parts of the UK or from overseas.
Depending on availability, adding the extra evening can also make a Tuesday or Friday wedding possible. Stef can explain which dates work for your plans.

🛏️ Stay Together at Logie
One of the loveliest parts of a 3-day wedding is having so many of your favourite people staying together in the same house.
Logie has 18 bedrooms sleeping around 50 guests, including around 15 ensuite bedrooms and wheelchair accessible accommodation off the courtyard.
Your guests can wake up together, enjoy breakfast, use the pool and hot tubs, wander through the estate and gather around the fires in the evening.
The house becomes part of the wedding, with time for all the conversations and little moments that would never fit into the wedding day itself.

👀 Even More Accommodation May Be Available From September 2027
We are currently in the process of purchasing the neighbouring Coach House, around a one-minute walk from Logie.
If our plans go ahead, we hope it may initially provide 6 additional bedrooms sleeping around 12 guests.
We hope the Coach House may be available from around September 2027, but this is not yet confirmed.
It could be particularly useful for larger family groups and destination weddings where more guests are travelling to Scotland.

There is something rather special about having a historic Scottish country house and its grounds to yourselves.
At Logie, your family and friends can gather around the fires, wander down towards the River Urie, explore the ancient woodland and enjoy views towards Bennachie.

Our long-standing catering partner, Hudsons Catering, provides the wedding-day catering and will prepare a quote around exactly what you would like.
For wedding-day drinks, you can use the Hudsons bar or bring your own drinks and pay corkage.
That gives you flexibility over both the style of food and how you would like to arrange the drinks for your wedding.
