🐶 Can We Bring Our Dog to Our Wedding at Logie?
Yes.
Dogs can be part of your wedding at Logie, whether that means joining you for the ceremony, appearing in photographs, walking through the grounds or simply staying with you during your wedding stay.
Some couples include their dog throughout the day, while others arrange for somebody to look after them during busier parts of the wedding.
Because Logie is exclusively yours during your stay, you have much more freedom to decide what works for you, your guests and your dog.

There are plenty of ways to involve your dog without making the wedding revolve around them.

One of the biggest advantages of bringing your dog to Logie is the amount of private outdoor space around the house.
The estate includes lawns, woodland, riverside areas and countryside where you can take your dog for a walk away from the main wedding activity.
There is also an
enclosed courtyard, which can be particularly useful when you want your dog outside without having them wandering across the wider grounds.
Inside the house, much of the ground floor has practical stone or timber flooring rather than being entirely carpeted.
As with any unfamiliar place, dogs should still be supervised, particularly around livestock, roads, water and other guests.
🐮 Dogs and the Highland Cows
Logie’s Highland cows are one of the most popular features of the grounds, but dogs and livestock need sensible supervision.
Dogs should not be allowed to chase or worry the cattle and should be kept under proper control whenever they are close to livestock.
The cows can also be brought out for wedding photographs, giving animal-loving couples another distinctly Scottish addition to the day.

🐾 Dog-Friendly Wedding Practicalities
We keep the rules straightforward.
- ✅ Dogs should be supervised and under proper control
- ✅ Please clean up after your dog
- ✅ Dogs should not chase or disturb the Highland cows or other livestock
- ✅ Bring the food, bowls, bedding and anything else your dog normally needs
- ✅ Make sure somebody is responsible for your dog during busy parts of the wedding
- ✅ Give them somewhere quiet to rest if the ballroom or evening celebration becomes too noisy
Most of it is simply common sense.
📸 Dogs in Your Wedding Photographs
The grounds at Logie give you plenty of opportunities to include your dog in your wedding photographs.
You can use the courtyard, lawns, woodland, riverside areas and views towards Bennachie, depending on the weather and where your photographer wants to work.
If photographs with your dog are important to you, it is worth mentioning this to your photographer beforehand so they can allow enough time and plan suitable locations.
🐴 Other Animals at Logie Weddings
Dogs are not the only animals that have appeared at weddings at Logie.
Over the years we have had a wide variety of animals involved in celebrations, including horses, llamas, tortoises and birds of prey.
