🏰 A Scottish Destination Wedding That Feels Like a Proper Trip
If your guests are travelling thousands of miles to Scotland, make the journey part of something much bigger than a single wedding day.
Our 3-day weddings give you time before and after the wedding itself. Your guests arrive, settle into the house and spend time together before the ceremony, then stay for a relaxed post-wedding day together.
For couples searching for a Scottish destination wedding or dreaming of a Scottish castle wedding, Logie offers the atmosphere of a private historic Scottish estate with all the comforts you want around you.
There are roaring fires, sweeping staircases, beautiful rooms to gather in, woodland, riverside grounds, Highland cows, a private ballroom and enough space for everyone to settle in, relax and make Logie feel like home for a few unforgettable days.
💻 Plan Your Scottish Wedding From Anywhere in the World
You can plan your wedding at Logie entirely from overseas, so everything is ready for you when you arrive in Scotland.
Our wedding planners will get to know what you actually want, talk everything through with you by video and email, and help you shape the wedding from wherever you are in the world.
They know Logie inside out and can put you directly in touch with photographers, florists, celebrants, musicians, transport providers and other suppliers who already know the house and how weddings work here.
Hudsons Catering, who have worked with Logie for many years, provide the wedding-day catering and bar and will quote for exactly what you want.
By the time you arrive in Scotland, Logie will already feel familiar. You will know the house, know the people involved and know how the wedding is going to unfold — so you can get off the plane and start enjoying it.
🛏️ Keep Your Guests Together in Scotland
One of the biggest advantages of Logie for an overseas wedding is having so many of your favourite people staying together in the same house.
The main house and courtyard have 18 bedrooms sleeping around 50 guests, including 15 ensuite bedrooms and wheelchair accessible, ground floor courtyard accommodation.
Your guests stay right at the wedding venue, waking up together, having breakfast together and finishing the evening just a short wander from their bedrooms.
They can use the pool and hot tubs, wander through the grounds and enjoy the house throughout the stay.

👀 More Accommodation Planned From September 2027
We are currently in the process of purchasing the beautiful neighbouring Coach House, around a one-minute walk from Logie.
It has 6 bedrooms sleeping an additional 12 guests. Subject to completion of the purchase, we are planning for the Coach House to be available from September 2027.
This could be particularly useful for destination weddings where even more family and friends are travelling to Scotland.

✈️ Getting to Logie From the USA, Canada and Overseas
Logie Country House is in Aberdeenshire in the north-east of Scotland, approximately 25 minutes from Aberdeen International Airport.
Aberdeen connects through major UK and European airports, making the final part of an international journey relatively straightforward. Guests can also fly into other Scottish airports and make Logie part of a longer trip around Scotland.
For many overseas guests, the wedding becomes part of the holiday. They can combine their time at Logie with castles, whisky distilleries, Scottish countryside, cities and the Highlands before or after the wedding.
We can also arrange introductions to local transport providers and nearby accommodation for additional guests.
🐮 Give Your Guests the Scotland They Came For
If your guests are travelling all the way to Scotland, give them something that feels unmistakably Scottish.
At Logie, your guests can experience a private Scottish country house, woodland and riverside grounds, views towards Bennachie and our Highland cows — who have become fairly experienced wedding-photo models. 🐮📷
You can add as much Scotland to the celebration as you want: a piper, a ceilidh, local food and drink, time around the fires or simply an afternoon wandering the estate with everyone you love in one place.
💍 Where Can You Get Married at Logie?
Your ceremony can take place indoors or outdoors, with the setting chosen to suit the wedding you have in mind — and the Scottish weather on the day. 😄
Options include the courtyard, ballroom, lawns and woodland, with plenty of other beautiful places around the estate for photographs.
Our purpose-built ballroom accommodates up to 160 day guests and is air-conditioned and soundproofed, with the bar and dance floor in the same room.
Whether you are planning a smaller destination wedding or bringing a much larger group to Scotland, the whole celebration remains private and yours.
📜 Can Overseas Couples Get Married in Scotland?
Yes. Couples from overseas can legally get married in Scotland, and the process is straightforward once you know what is needed.
The main things are your marriage paperwork, the registrar and your ceremony arrangements. Our wedding planners can help you understand the process, put you in touch with the right local people and make sure everything at Logie is ready for your day.

For international weddings, adding the evening before gives everyone even more time to arrive, settle in and start enjoying Logie together.
You can add the evening before your normal check-in, giving the guests staying at Logie another night together before the main wedding stay begins.
An earlier-access option to the drawing room and dining room is also available, so you can gather everyone together for a meal in the house before the main check-in begins.

💷 What Does a Destination Wedding at Logie Cost?
Our venue prices vary depending on the time of year and whether you choose a midweek or weekend wedding.
The easiest way to understand the cost is to look at the venue pricing and then use the venue cost estimator to see how the different options work for your own wedding. The separate catering cost estimator lets you build an estimate for the wedding-day food and bar provided by Hudsons Catering.
Around 50 guests can stay at Logie, and many couples ask the guests using the 17 guest bedrooms to contribute towards their accommodation. The venue estimator shows how those contributions can reduce the amount you pay yourselves.
💌 Start Planning Your Destination Wedding in Scotland
If you are planning from the USA, Canada, Australia or anywhere else overseas, start with the important things: your approximate date, guest numbers and whether a 2-day or 3-day wedding would suit you best.
Our wedding planners can then help you turn those first ideas into an actual wedding at Logie.
A destination wedding at Logie gives your guests a reason to travel to Scotland for something much bigger than a single wedding day — a private house, several days together and a Scottish experience they are unlikely to forget.
