Livery spaces

-

We have 4 grass livery spaces available in our sheltered field adjacent to the main house. There will be 2 stables available for DIY livery at the end of March too. We will then have 8 DIY livery stables and 12 grass livery places available in the Autumn.

Bathroom improvements

-

We have just tiled the main bathroom and installed under floor heating too.

Stables and riding school

-

The foundations for the new stables (8 x 3.6 x 3.6 meter stables, tack room and barn) and the 40x20 meter bark riding school are being started next week. The stables themselves will be built at the end of the summer, once the newly sown filed is cropped for Haylage.

Let there be light

-

We have finally installed LED flood lighting and mains electric fencing in our first livery field over 500 meters from the main house

Non stick

-

We've just improved the non slip coating around the pool. The original roughened travertine has been coated with a sanded varnish

Roaring fire

-

We now have an even better log making machine, suitable for processing the huge amount of the dead elm on the estate. Guaranteed roaring fire all winter long

Snow and Ice

-

We are now the proud owners of 4 tonnes of rock salt and a new salt spreader for the drive, as well as a new snow blower to clear the smaller paths that our snow plough cannot reach. Now all we need is some snow and ice.

Puma

-

Sara saw 2 black puma like cats at the end of the drive. Quite a few neighbours have seen one of these too. About the size of a collie dog, but bushy tailed and slimmer.

Yurts

-

We will be adding 2-3 6 meter Yurts in the woodland, for eco holidays, in the late summer. The Yurts will sleep 2+2, have wind powered electrics, a gas stove, log burning heating, a composting toilet and warm water shower. The first one will have stunning views over Logie House and Bennachie, the second will be located on the woodland island

Ghostly goings on

-

The Ghost has been seen again. This time a baby sitter heard footsteps and doors being opened, as did a little boy that was staying. The boy (Who is 8) then saw the ghost (A child) in his room. This ties in with several people hearing footsteps outside bedrooms and doors being rattled at night, about half a dozen actual sightings and our own son (who is 4), having an imaginary friend that comes to his bedroom at night. Me! I don't believe in ghosts, but I cannot explain the childs crying that both myself and others frequently hear.
